Mobikwik launches travel pass to offer customers cheaper bus travel

Mobile wallet Mobikwik on Friday announced the launch of a travel pass that will allow customers save money on bus travel.
The pass will be available for Rs 50 for the first 10,000 users and will offer a 5 percent discount besides a travel insurance cover of up to Rs 3 lakh on every bus booking done through MobiKwik, for a year
The actual price for the pass will be Rs 250.
“Millennials constitute 75 percent of our users and they love to travel throughout the year. Travel pass will help them save on every bus journey, irrespective of the time of booking. We are getting a tremendous response from our users, and have already sold over 2,000 passes on day one of the launch," said Vineet Singh, chief business officer at Mobikwik.
Mobikwik currently claims to have a network of over 20,00,000 direct merchants and 65 million users.
The company was founded in 2009 by Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku and counts Sequoia Capital, American Express and Tree Line Asia among others as its investors
