Music composer and actor Himesh Reshammiya on Friday tied knot with his longtime partner Sonia Kapoor in a private ceremony, which took place at his residence in Mumbai.

Soon after exchanging wedding vows, Himesh took to Facebook to share a few pictures of the couple from the ceremony and wrote: “Togetherness is bliss!”

The news of Himesh’s marriage triggered jokes on social media platforms with users posting cruel messages targeted at the singer. One user wrote, “Ae hazoor, teri teri teri sonia kapooor.” Another user wrote sarcastically, “Hope is always there even if you snoring badly.” One user, identified as ‘ex-secular’ wrote, “Congratulations brave lady.” User ‘Kadi Minds’ wrote, “She must be immune to high pitch sound.”

Amidst hateful messages for Himesh, some users wondered why there was so much of hate for the singer and actor. Rishbh Gupta asked, “So much hate for a man?”

Meanwhile, some tagged Salman Khan why he had not considered marriage even after Himesh’s wedding. Vimal Trivedi asked, “Ab to Himesh Ki bhi ho gai aapki kab hogi @BeingSalmanKhan.” User Dark Knight wrote, “Bhai(Salman Khan) ki sangat ka asar nahi aane dia, do do shaadi.”

Himesh was earlier married to Komal with whom he also shares a son named Swayam. The duo, after 22 years, had filed for divorce in 2016 and were officially granted divorce by the Bandra Family Court last year.
